A quick pub crawl for any away fans visiting the Stadium of Light. It is perfect for any fan coming in by train as it starts at The William Jameson, a JD Wetherspoon a stones throw from the station. You then move onto the Albion which has a great beer selectino and outdoor seating as well visiting the Wheatsheaf and The Colliery Tavern before going into the stadium.

The ultimate pub crawl for Sunderland fans going to take in a game at the Stadium of Light. This is particularly good if you are coming in by train as it starts at The William Jameson a good cheap starting point (with it being a Wetherspoon) for food and drink. It then moves onto Chaplin's a popular amongst home fans. Then it is onto The Peacock, which has been a Sunderland fan favourite for years before going into The Colliery Tavern which is without a doubt the closest boozer to the Stadium of Light. This proximity and old school feel of the Southwick Road pub give it a perfect matchday feel.
You've seen it all! 🍻
Close enough for a change of scene.
