Back in the day, matelots could leave the Royal Naval Barracks and drop into the Royal Naval Arms and start a long pub run which was once considered a rite of passage for new recruits. Today, like most places, things have changed, but there are still enough bars and evening social clubs to take a good walk and pub crawl. If it make it to the end, you can start all over again once you reach Albert Road!
