Today was spent travelling around Stourbridge and nearby Blackheath, Halesowen, Netherton, Tividale and Quarry Bank with Neil and local CAMRA friends, calling into a brilliant mix of pubs, micropubs and taprooms. From centuries-old coaching inns to former banks and shop units given new life, every stop had its own quiet story. I worked my way through crisp golden ales, smooth milds, hazy pales and even a dandelion and burdock brew. More than anything, it was the welcome that stood out โ warm rooms, friendly faces and easy conversation, just proper pubs offering a comfortable place to slow down and enjoy good company.
